## What it does

The server lets an agent search Chainstack documentation and retrieve page contents, check platform status, and send messages to Chainstack. With an API key, it can work with organizations, projects, and nodes, including creating, updating, and deleting them. It can also set node access rules for allowed IP addresses or origins.

Another tool requests testnet funds from the Chainstack faucet for an address on 12 networks across EVM, Solana, and TON. Documentation search and status checks work without an API key; project and node operations require one. That distinction matters: management requests need credentials. Chainstack can connect to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and other listed clients.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://mcp.chainstack.com/mcp`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http chainstack https://mcp.chainstack.com/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add chainstack --url https://mcp.chainstack.com/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "chainstack": {
            "url": "https://mcp.chainstack.com/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "chainstack": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://mcp.chainstack.com/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http chainstack https://mcp.chainstack.com/mcp
```

## When to use it
- find a relevant page in Chainstack documentation
- check platform status and current incidents
- create or update a blockchain project through an agent
- restrict node access by IP address or origin
- request testnet funds from the Chainstack faucet

## Example prompts
- Search Chainstack docs for instructions on configuring a node for my network.
- Check Chainstack platform status and report current incidents.
- Create a Chainstack project and request testnet funds for my address.
