# ByJG Open Source Docs

## What it does

Point your client at `https://mcpdocs.byjg.com/mcp` over Streamable HTTP. The docs are public, so no token is required. The URL has to end in `/mcp` or the connection fails.

Three tools ship with it. `search_docs(query, limit, category, project)` returns ranked passages, each carrying its public URL. `get_document(source_path)` hands back the full markdown of a single page. `list_projects()` tells you what is indexed. Pass either plain language or an exact symbol such as `TableAttribute` — both are accepted.

Every tool call gets logged: the query, the filters, how well the docs matched. That log stays on the server. Keep secrets out of your queries. Self-hosting is possible and a private copy can require a bearer token instead — the public endpoint has none.
