## What it does

BuyWhere connects an agent to a product catalog. It can search by keyword, category, price, or country, retrieve product details, compare listings, and look for the lowest-priced option that can be delivered. Supported markets include Singapore, the US, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam; listed retailers include Lazada, Shopee, and Amazon.

The MCP tools cover product search, comparisons of 2–10 items, deals, and similar products. Local use requires Node.js and a `BUYWHERE_API_KEY`; the local server command needs that key to authenticate. Claude Code can also connect over HTTP, using the remote setup command below.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://api.buywhere.ai/mcp`
- Environment variables: `BUYWHERE_API_KEY` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## When to use it
- search products by country, category, or price range
- compare prices and details for several items
- find the lowest-priced deliverable listing
- spot products with price drops
