## What it does

BrandKit MCP serves brand context through MCP, covering positioning, audience, messaging, voice, colors, typography, components, tokens, fonts, assets, and motion. It includes 18 read-only tools plus 14 `brand://` resources for clients that can consume MCP data.

The system uses a `brand_atomic_system` directory. Agent-facing material lives under `agent/`, while files in `human/` are skipped. The server can search the brand corpus, validate usage, and compare base context with `web` and `product` variants. Over stdio, `sync_brand_docs` can update `brandkit.config.yaml`, `DESIGN.md`, and `PRODUCT.md`.

Node 20 or newer is required, and the configuration must declare `version: 2`. Running `brandkit-mcp init` creates the starter layout and protects existing files unless `--force` is supplied. Check that requirement before wiring the server into a project.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)

```
### Cursor
**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json

## When to use it
- give an agent the brand’s positioning and voice
- apply brand colors, type, and tokens to generated UI
- search across brand documents from an AI client
- validate an interface against brand rules
- compare base guidance with web and product overrides

## Example prompts
- Use the brand positioning and voice to rewrite the homepage copy.
- Check this interface against the brand colors, typography, and tokens.
- Compare the base context with the `web` variant and list the differences.
