# Boolsai Grep

Boolsai Grep searches an archive of site scans with regular expressions. Use it when you need to find a signal that is not already indexed.

## What it does

The server runs parallel searches across a corpus of historical scans. Use `grep_pattern` or `count_pattern` to find matches or count them; `sites_with_signal` returns sites matching a signal, while `list_signal_types` lists the available signal categories. This can help locate inline-script signatures or account identifiers.

Boolsai Grep connects over MCP using HTTP at `https://grep.boolsai.ai/mcp`. In Claude Code, add it with the `claude mcp add` commands; the connection instructions do not call for an API key. The server searches Boolsai’s scan archive, so it does not perform a fresh live scan of a site.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://grep.boolsai.ai/mcp`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http grep https://grep.boolsai.ai/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add boolsai-grep --url https://grep.boolsai.ai/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "boolsai-grep": {
            "url": "https://grep.boolsai.ai/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "boolsai-grep": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://grep.boolsai.ai/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http boolsai-grep https://grep.boolsai.ai/mcp
```

## When to use it
- find sites containing a script signature
- count matches for a regular expression
- search historical scans for a pattern
- check which sites contain a given signal

## Example prompts
- Find sites whose inline scripts contain `window._fs_org`.
- Count matches for a regular expression that identifies account IDs.
- List the available signal types, then find sites with a chosen signal.
