## What it does

This server connects AI assistants directly to official corporate registries across US states and international jurisdictions. It pulls real-time information regarding company existence, filing records, registered agents, management officers, and legal formation dates. The canonical setup operates as a streamable HTTP service at `https://api.bizverify.co/mcp`, while the repository provides a local stdio bridge via Node.js or Docker for clients without remote HTTP transport.

The toolset covers nine functions, splitting quick lookups from deep filings retrieval. While basic endpoints like `list_jurisdictions` and `get_config` operate publicly without authentication, actual verification tools such as `verify_business` demand a `BIZVERIFY_API_KEY` header or token.

Without a valid API key, deep KYB queries fail immediately. Fresh signups receive 50 complimentary credits upon email verification, letting you test live queries before purchasing additional runs via Stripe.
