# Bird

Sends and receives email, SMS, WhatsApp messages, and voice calls via Bird's hosted gateway. Useful when an agent needs automated multi-channel messaging.

## What it does

The server links coding assistants to the hosted communication platform at `https://mcp.bird.com`. Your agent gets direct tools to dispatch emails, read delivery receipts with `bird email get`, and manage SMS or WhatsApp channels.

It works alongside the `bird` CLI. This command-line tool lets an agent set up an account, verify an email address, and configure an organization workspace directly from the terminal.

Access is OAuth-gated. Every tool call fails until you grant consent in the browser via `/mcp` or run `claude mcp login bird`.
