## What it does

The main tool, `audit_catalyst`, takes a ticker, drug, and sponsor, then runs the review across clinical-trial records, papers, SEC filings, openFDA, and Yahoo Finance. Other tools expose data such as trial status, company cash figures, insider trades, and short interest.

The aggregator returns a code-generated label: `CLEAN`, `FLAG`, `BEAR_SIGNAL`, `BLACK_FLAG`, or `DISQUALIFIED`. It also provides figures such as cash runway and time to catalyst for inspection. The model narrates the findings; it does not assign the verdict. Claude Code setup requires a `SEC_USER_AGENT` value in the environment passed to the install command.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Environment variables: `SEC_USER_AGENT` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI**
```bash
claude mcp add biopharma-catalyst-mcp -e SEC_USER_AGENT=<SEC_USER_AGENT> -- npx -y biopharma-catalyst-mcp
```
Replace <…> with your own values

### Codex

**Platform CLI**
```bash
codex mcp add biopharma-catalyst-mcp --env SEC_USER_AGENT=<SEC_USER_AGENT> -- npx -y biopharma-catalyst-mcp
```
Replace <…> with your own values

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:

## When to use it
- check a drug catalyst against company filings
- find completed trials without a results readout
- compare trial records with regulatory activity
- review company cash runway and insider transactions

## Example prompts
- Audit the catalyst for ticker `SRPT` and drug `elevidys`.
- Check `MRK`, drug `Keytruda`, and sponsor `Merck` for conflicting signals.
- Review trial status and SEC filings for this drug and company.
