# Bikefuchs — Bike Parts Price Comparison

Placeholder MCP server reserving the Smithery namespace. It provides a get_info tool outlining the release status for the bike parts price comparison service.

## What it does

This repository acts as a namespace placeholder to protect `@bikefuchs` on Smithery while production tools are being built. It does not search parts or compare store inventories yet. The full launch is scheduled for Q3 2026 alongside `bikefuchs.de`.

The server currently exposes a single tool called `get_info`. Calling it outputs launch status details, planned capabilities for 5+ Austrian and German retailers, and the official website URL. Real price calculations do not happen. Future additions will handle product queries and EAN lookups across partner shops.

Hosting runs on Vercel at `https://mcp.bikefuchs.com/mcp`. Setup in Claude Desktop relies on `npx` with `mcp-remote` forwarding to that remote address. Until the production release arrives, this setup only serves to confirm connectivity.
