## What it does

BestPrice is the official MCP server for BestPrice.gr, a Greek price-comparison service. It exposes four tools. `get_shopping_decision` builds a recommendation around a stated need and budget. `search_products` looks up items in the catalog by name, model, category or a bare GTIN/EAN barcode, and returns product IDs with the catalog minimum price before shipping. `compare_offers` splits merchant offers into item price, shipping and delivered total. `get_price_history` summarises movement over 30, 90 or 180 days against the 180-day median.

Every tool is read-only. Nothing places an order, creates an alert or touches account data. Results point to a BestPrice product page, not to a merchant. When shipping cost is not known, the server reports it as unknown rather than free. Search covers physical products only — digital goods, services and age-restricted categories are left out.

The endpoint is `https://mcp.bestprice.gr/mcp` over Streamable HTTP. No account is needed for the shopping tools; account linking is scoped to `events:subscribe`, which stays disabled. A completed basket plan requires a Greek postal code, and delivered totals need one in the 10000–85999 range. The server is stateless: no `MCP-Session-Id` is issued or expected.
