## What it does

The server pulls customization files out of the awesome-copilot repository and exposes them to the agent through MCP. No manual copying of file contents into your project.

It runs in a container: `docker run -i --rm ghcr.io/microsoft/mcp-dotnet-samples/awesome-copilot:1.0.2026102300`. So Docker has to be installed and running before you connect it, otherwise the command never starts. The image comes from ghcr.io, which means that registry needs to be reachable.

The server ships as part of Microsoft's .NET samples for the Model Context Protocol. MIT licensed.
