An MCP server that lets an AI agent drive your Android or iOS device: tap, swipe, launch apps and watch the screen.

## What it does

AutoMobile runs as an MCP server on top of the platform's own tools — `adb` on Android and `simctl` on iOS. Kotlin and Swift libraries and apps sit alongside them: Kotlin Accessibility Service and Swift XCTestService feed the agent fast screen observations, while Kotlin JUnitRunner and Swift XCTestRunner run tests on the device itself, with device pooling and multi-device runs.

Through the MCP tools the agent can tap, swipe, pinch, drag and drop, and shake, targeting elements automatically. Observations close the loop: every tool call builds on what the previous one returned.

The interactive installer walks through host requirements, optionally pulls Android or iOS developer tools, and configures the MCP daemon. There is a one-line `curl` install and a Homebrew CLI. If `adb` or `simctl` is not on your `PATH`, the server cannot reach a device — check that before wiring anything up.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI**
```bash
claude mcp add auto-mobile -- npx -y @kaeawc/auto-mobile
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI**
```bash
codex mcp add automobile -- npx -y @kaeawc/auto-mobile
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "automobile": {
            "command": "npx",
            "args": [
                "-y",
                "@kaeawc/auto-mobile"
            ]
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "automobile": {
            "type": "stdio",
            "command": "npx",
            "args": [
                "@kaeawc/auto-mobile"
            ]
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini mcp add automobile npx -y @kaeawc/auto-mobile
```

## When to use it
- map an app's screens and user flows by walking through them
- turn a bug report into exact reproduction steps with screenshots
- convert a plain-English test scenario into an executable test plan
- profile cold and warm app launch times
- spot jank and dropped frames during scrolling

## Example prompts
- Open the app and show me which screens live under settings
- Reproduce this bug report and attach a screenshot for each step
- Run through the checkout flow and write down a test plan
