## What it does

Auth0 MCP Server gives an agent tools for managing Auth0 applications and APIs, deploying Actions, inspecting logs, and working with users. You can ask it to create an application and return its domain and client ID, or search logs for sign-ins from a particular IP address.

You need Node.js 18 or later, an Auth0 account with suitable permissions, and an MCP client. On first connection, a browser starts OAuth 2.0 authorization; credentials are stored in the system keychain. Limit available tools with `--tools` or use `--read-only`. The server is in beta, and its maintainers advise against using it for production or critical workloads.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)

## Install

```
### Codex
**Platform CLI**
```bash
codex mcp add auth0-mcp-server -- npx -y @auth0/auth0-mcp-server
```
### Cursor
**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "auth0-mcp-server": {
            "command": "npx",
            "args": [
                "-y",
                "@auth0/auth0-mcp-server"
            ]
        }
    }
}
```
### GitHub Copilot
            ]
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini mcp add auth0-mcp-server npx -y @auth0/auth0-mcp-server
```

## When to use it
- create an Auth0 application and retrieve its domain and client ID
- deploy an Action that generates a JWT
- search Auth0 logs for sign-ins from a given IP address
- manage Auth0 users through an AI agent

## Example prompts
- Create an Auth0 application and return its domain and client ID.
- Deploy an Action that generates a JWT.
- Search Auth0 logs for sign-ins from IP address 192.108.92.3.
