## What it does

The server returns numerical audio features, including spectral and harmonic data, LUFS loudness, rhythm, and stereo measurements. It can also locate structural changes such as verses or choruses, then compare two tracks in a compact difference table. Start with a broad map of a song and request a closer look at selected sections.

MCP tools include `full_analysis`, `compare`, and `rhythm_analysis`. Written in Rust, the server reads MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, and AAC files. Give the agent a full path to a file on your machine; attaching audio to chat does not provide access to that local file. This is a local server over stdio, so it does not run in Claude.ai in a browser or in mobile apps.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Install**
- The MCP registry has no launch command for it: see the repository README

## When to use it
- find a recording’s tempo and key
- locate structural sections in a song
- compare loudness and spectral balance between mixes
- check stereo compatibility and phase behavior
- trace audio features across a track

## Example prompts
- Analyze `/Users/me/Music/song.mp3` and report its tempo, key, and structure.
- Compare `/Users/me/Music/mix_v1.mp3` with `/Users/me/Music/mix_v2.mp3`, focusing on loudness and stereo.
- Show how the audio features change during the chorus in `/Users/me/Music/song.mp3`.
