# Attest by DataHubz (verify only)

Check Attest signatures, records and SHA-256 fingerprints without signing in. Use it to verify an agreement or receipt without sending the file to the server.

## What it does

The server accepts a signature-stamp code, an agreement, receipt or Share proof ID, or a SHA-256 fingerprint. It reports whether the signature checks out and whether the record is anchored on the Horizen blockchain. Anyone can run a check without an account.

This is the verification-only connector: it exposes `verify_record`. It cannot read or sign documents, and the file stays on your device while its fingerprint is checked. Add the HTTP server to Claude Code with the command below. Agreement management and signer reminders require a different Attest connector.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://attest.datahubz.com/mcp/verify`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http attest-verify https://attest.datahubz.com/mcp/verify
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add attest-by-datahubz-verify-only --url https://attest.datahubz.com/mcp/verify
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "attest-by-datahubz-verify-only": {
            "url": "https://attest.datahubz.com/mcp/verify"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "attest-by-datahubz-verify-only": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://attest.datahubz.com/mcp/verify"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http attest-by-datahubz-verify-only https://attest.datahubz.com/mcp/verify
```

## When to use it
- check a signature using its stamp code
- compare a file fingerprint with an Attest record
- verify an agreement, receipt or Share proof ID
- check whether a record is anchored on Horizen

## Example prompts
- Check the signature linked to stamp code `ATT-1234-5678` and report the result.
- Compare this file's SHA-256 fingerprint with its Attest record.
- Verify receipt ID `...` and tell me whether it is anchored on Horizen.
