## What it does

Atlaso links session context across Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and other supported environments through a remote endpoint at `https://mcp.atlaso.ai/mcp`. It replaces static local context files with a managed cloud store. You do not need to paste API tokens. Authentication runs through OAuth 2.1 dynamic registration right in your web browser.

The remote server provides tools like `recall` for search, `remember` for saving observations, alongside `recent`, `forget`, and `status`. Stored notes stay partitioned into personal items and repository-level workspace records. Outgoing text is automatically scrubbed of credentials before storage. On the free tier, stored text is never processed by third-party LLMs.

Hosting this server on private infrastructure is impossible because the underlying software is a proprietary managed platform. The complimentary tier covers a single device paired with one coding tool. Lifting those boundaries requires the Pro subscription at $10/month.
