# Async Parallel Antigravity for Codex & Claude Code

A wrapper around the official Antigravity CLI that turns it into resumable MCP-controlled sessions. You can run several agy jobs at once, attach a terminal, and pick up results later.

## What it does

The server hands each `agy` run to a detached supervisor, so the MCP endpoint stays quick while the CLI does the long work. State and events live locally. If an MCP call times out or the harness restarts, you can still pull the run by `run_id` and read what came out of it.

Runs surface through eight tools: `agy_run_start`, `agy_run_wait`, `agy_run_observe`, `agy_run_input`, `agy_run_cancel`, `agy_run_result`, `agy_goal`, `agy_admin`. The input tool carries preconditions tied to event and transcript cursors — a write gets rejected if the run moved on after the caller last looked at it. Two agents writing into the same session won't silently clobber each other.

Before adding the server, `agy models` has to succeed locally; that proves the CLI is authenticated. If auth is missing, `agy_run_start` returns `status="auth_required"` and opens a visible session for the login flow. You also need `uvx` and `tmux` — `brew install tmux` on macOS, `sudo apt install tmux gnome-terminal` on Debian or Ubuntu. The bridge itself ships from PyPI as `codex-agy-bridge`.

## Requirements
- Needs: Python and uv (commands run via uvx)
- Environment variables: `AGY_CMD` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI**
```bash
claude mcp add --env AGY_CMD=<AGY_CMD> --transport stdio async-parallel-antigravity-for-codex-claude-code -- uvx codex-agy-bridge
```
Replace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from codex-agy-bridge <command>

### Codex

**Platform CLI**
```bash
codex mcp add async-parallel-antigravity-for-codex-claude-code --env AGY_CMD=<AGY_CMD> -- uvx codex-agy-bridge
```
Replace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from codex-agy-bridge <command>

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "async-parallel-antigravity-for-codex-claude-code": {
            "command": "uvx",
            "args": [
                "codex-agy-bridge"
            ],
            "env": {
                "AGY_CMD": "<AGY_CMD>"
            }
        }
    }
}
```
Replace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from codex-agy-bridge <command>

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "async-parallel-antigravity-for-codex-claude-code": {
            "type": "stdio",
            "command": "uvx",
            "args": [
                "codex-agy-bridge"
            ],
            "env": {
                "AGY_CMD": "<AGY_CMD>"
            }
        }
    }
}
```
Replace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from codex-agy-bridge <command>

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini mcp add -e AGY_CMD=<AGY_CMD> async-parallel-antigravity-for-codex-claude-code uvx codex-agy-bridge
```
Replace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from codex-agy-bridge <command>

## When to use it
- start several Antigravity runs in parallel without mixing their state
- attach a terminal to a live run without killing the agent process
- read a run result after an MCP timeout or harness restart
- block stale writes when the transcript has already moved forward
- batch multiple targets under one goal and inspect aggregate status

## Example prompts
- Start an Antigravity run with the prompt "Write tests for this module" and wait for the first event.
- Check the run status for the `run_id` from the previous call, status only, no full transcript.
- Open a terminal view of the current run with `agy_run_observe` and view=terminal, I need to answer an auth prompt by hand.
