# Appllama

Appllama gives an agent access to a library of mobile app screens, flows, and UI patterns. Use it to study a category before building an app or revising a screen.

## What it does

The server connects an agent to Appllama’s library of mobile app screens and user flows, with download and revenue context. An agent can study how apps in a category handle their interfaces before starting a build or changing an existing screen.

Connect through an MCP client and approve access with an Appllama account. In Claude Code, add the server with `claude mcp add --transport http appllama https://mcp.appllama.io/mcp`. MCP access is part of Pro. Each call uses one credit, while `get_credits` is free; without account approval, the library stays out of reach.

The Appllama repository also includes research and design skills for Expo and React Native. The research skill uses the MCP server, and the design skill works with or without it, though it is sharper when connected.

## When to use it
- study screens from popular apps in a category
- map the steps in a mobile app onboarding flow
- inspect where a paywall appears in a flow
- compare an existing screen with other app designs

## Example prompts
- Study popular habit-tracking apps and outline the screens for my app.
- Compare fitness app onboarding flows and explain where their paywalls appear.
- Review this screen against the Appllama library and suggest changes.
