## What it does

App Store Trends MCP gives an MCP host access to app download data for App Store and Play. It can return weekly time series, period growth, and current top charts; Android lookups use a bundle ID. The same service can be connected to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and other listed hosts with one API key.

The server uses HTTP. A Python package, `app-store-trends-mcp`, is also available for direct synchronous or asynchronous calls; it runs on Python 3.8 or later and uses `httpx`. An API key from `trendsmcp.ai` is required for requests. The free tier includes 100 requests per month.
