## What it does

The server speaks HTTP and sits in front of the Trends API: Android download history, live App Store Top Free, App Store Top Paid and Google Play feeds. The key is free and comes from trendsapi.ai.

History keywords are Play Store bundle IDs such as `com.openai.chatgpt`. Passing `chatgpt` returns 404, since series are keyed by package id. Note also that `app downloads` covers Android only — iOS appears as live feeds and nothing more, so there is no iOS history to pull.

A Python client, `trendsapi-app-store`, supports Python 3.9+ and ships both sync and async classes. You can also call `POST https://api.trendsapi.ai/api` directly with an `Authorization: Bearer $TRENDSAPI_KEY` header. Spelling matters: `source` is lowercase, `type` must match the feed name exactly, and a mismatch is a 400. Every 200 response counts as one billed request.
