# APIVerve

A remote MCP server that hands your agent weather, geocoding, email validation, currency conversion and hundreds of other APIVerve APIs.

## What it does

Nothing runs on your machine. The server is hosted, and the client just points at `https://api.apiverve.com/v1/mcp`. Every APIVerve function shows up as its own MCP tool with a name, a description and a JSON schema for its inputs. The agent picks the right one when a question about weather, address checks or unit conversion comes up.

Sign-in uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. On the first call the server asks for authorization and your client guides you through the login; no key lands on disk, and you can revoke access from your dashboard. For CI and headless setups without a browser, pass an `x-api-key` header instead. One catch: Custom Connectors in Claude Desktop cannot send their own headers, so OAuth is the only route there. Keys come from the APIVerve dashboard, and the free tier needs no card.

Pricing is token-based. Simple calls start at 1 credit each, heavier APIs cost more. Transport is Streamable HTTP, protocol MCP 2025-06-18 with fallback to 2025-03-26 and 2024-11-05. Packages exist for npm and PyPI, and Python clients can connect through `streamablehttp_client`.
