# AnythingMCP

AnythingMCP turns REST, SOAP, GraphQL, OData and SQL systems into MCP tools. Use it when an AI client needs access to existing APIs without a custom MCP server.

## What it does

AnythingMCP is a self-hosted MCP gateway with ready connectors for SAP, Etsy, weclapp and Amazon Seller. You can also connect an OpenAPI spec, WSDL service, GraphQL endpoint, Postman collection or database. Each source operation becomes an MCP tool, while the visual editor lets you rename tools, describe them, remove fields and assign role-based access.

The Docker setup creates a directory, downloads `docker-compose.yml`, writes `JWT_SECRET` and `ENCRYPTION_KEY`, then starts the containers. The web interface is available at `http://localhost:3000`; the MCP endpoint is `http://localhost:4000/mcp`. Docker 24+ and `openssl` are required, so the server will not start without them. The image targets amd64 and runs on Apple Silicon through emulation.

The hosted endpoint is `https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp`. Add it to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or Gemini CLI using the client-specific setup. Keep the generated `.env`: its encryption key is needed to decrypt stored connector credentials.
