## What it does

The server lets an agent create clusters with different operating systems and network layouts, run commands on their nodes, and check the results. That can include testing VyOS or OpenWrt configuration and scripts for CentOS. Once testing is done, the cluster can be deleted; a node can also be saved as an image or a runbook.

Five tools handle the workflow: `provision` creates a cluster, `exec` runs commands, `save` stores an image or runbook, `search` finds images and active clusters, and `delete` removes a cluster or saved artifact. Nodes get private networking, hostname resolution, and passwordless SSH between cluster members. Configuring an MCP client requires an Antrieb API key; the server is remote, so there is no local install.

## Requirements
- Remote server: `https://antrieb.sh/mcp`

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
claude mcp add --transport http antrieb https://antrieb.sh/mcp
```

### Codex

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
codex mcp add antrieb --url https://antrieb.sh/mcp
```

### Cursor

**Config file**
File `.cursor/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "mcpServers": {
        "antrieb": {
            "url": "https://antrieb.sh/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### GitHub Copilot

**Config file**
File `.vscode/mcp.json`:
```json
{
    "servers": {
        "antrieb": {
            "type": "http",
            "url": "https://antrieb.sh/mcp"
        }
    }
}
```

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI: remote server**
```bash
gemini mcp add -t http antrieb https://antrieb.sh/mcp
```

## When to use it
- test firewall rules on virtual machines
- try VyOS or OpenWrt settings in an isolated cluster
- install software across nodes and verify it works
- save a configured node as an image

## Example prompts
- Create a three-node Ubuntu cluster and check that nginx runs on each node.
- Test this OpenWrt firewall setup in a disposable cluster.
- Save the configured node as an image named `test-image`.
