## What it does

This server connects directly to `https://allratestoday.com/api/mcp` using HTTP transport. Because it is hosted in the cloud, you do not need to manage Node runtimes or install local packages. It provides eight tools, including `get_exchange_rate`, `get_official_rates`, and `list_central_banks`.

Without an API key, the server operates in keyless mode, returning official tables published by 122 central banks and 4 tax authorities like the ECB and HMRC. Accessing mid-market quotes updated every 60 seconds requires either a free API key or a temporary session token issued by `request_trial_key`.

Historical time series and past dated reports return HTTP 403 errors unless you upgrade to a paid tier starting at €4.99 per month. Showing keyless figures also requires adding a followable attribution link back to the service.
