# AIppocampus

AIppocampus lets an agent find earlier decisions and reopen conversation source. It helps when ongoing work needs context from past sessions.

## What it does

The server connects an agent to local conversation memory. It searches the current and registered threads, returns source-backed snippets, and can reopen material for verification. For a vague recollection, start with recall and deepen the result; exact search fits cases where the user remembers the wording.

AIppocampus builds source from supported local Codex records, Claude Code transcripts, and explicit JSONL exports of visible messages. Summaries guide navigation but do not replace the original source. Registering local history requires the user's consent, so an agent should not ingest it without permission.

## Requirements
- Needs: Python and uv (commands run via uvx)
