## What it does

This server bridges coding agents with the AgentSEO cloud platform. The open-source repository holds only client packages: libraries for TypeScript and Python alongside the MCP wrapper. Backend infrastructure, provider routing, and data processing remain on the hosted service.

Running the local client requires an `AGENTSEO_API_KEY`. Without a valid API key, requests to the external search endpoint will fail immediately. Configuration also supports optional project and workflow environment flags.

Setup works via standard input/output using `npx` or by connecting directly to the hosted HTTP endpoint.

## Requirements
- Needs: Node.js (commands run via npx)
- Remote server: `https://www.agentseo.dev/mcp`
- Environment variables: `AGENTSEO_API_KEY`, `AGENTSEO_API_URL`, `AGENTSEO_PROJECT_ID`, `AGENTSEO_WORKFLOW_ID` — keys and tokens: ask the human for the values, never commit them or put them in shared files.

## When to use it
- query search engine results with location targeting
