## What it does

Agentboxd connects an agent to real email inboxes. It can create an address, inspect messages and threads, search older mail, send a message, or reply in an existing conversation. For a signup or login flow, it can wait for an email and extract a verification code or magic link.

The server exposes these actions through MCP. To connect Claude Code to the hosted service, run the command below and sign in to Agentboxd when prompted. A local `npx -y @agentboxd/mcp` setup uses `AGENTBOXD_API_KEY`; without a key, the agent can use `signup` to create a limited workspace with one inbox. HTTP mode binds to `127.0.0.1` by default. Anyone who can reach an exposed port can act with your key, so use an auth-providing reverse proxy before exposing it.
