## What it does

The server links your AI assistant to the Google AdMob v1beta API over stdio. It exposes 9 read-only tools organized into accounts, apps, ad units, reports, and mediation groups. When the API returns streaming report chunks, the server flattens them into tabular rows and converts micro-amounts into standard currency values.

Data and tokens move directly between your local machine and Google servers without intermediate hosts. You can sign in via a browser using `npx admob-mcp-server auth`, provide a refresh token through environment variables, or rely on gcloud Application Default Credentials. Tools can be filtered at launch by passing specific toolset names.

Running the tool requires Node.js 18 or newer and an active Google Cloud project with the AdMob API enabled. Without downloading a Desktop OAuth client credential file to `~/.admob-mcp/oauth_client.json`, local authorization will fail. All operations request read-only scopes. It cannot modify your account.
