## What it does

The server provides four tools to query the public A2ASearch index: `search_agents`, `get_agent`, `get_setup`, and `list_agents`. It retrieves repository links, star counts, and last commit dates without requiring an API key for the catalog itself. Search relies on literal keywords rather than semantic matching.

When reading setup steps via `get_setup`, the tool extracts excerpts and JSON configuration examples straight from project README files. It does not run external code, establish remote connections, or configure client settings automatically. Review every command before executing it.

Running this server requires Node.js 22 or newer. API requests enforce a 15-second timeout and halt if canceled by the client.
