## What it does

The command inspects code modifications between the current branch and the base target (defaulting to `main`) using `git diff`. It calculates insertions, deletions, and net lines changed. Files are automatically grouped into categories: source files, test suites, configs, docs, styling, and build configurations.

It produces a structured pull request description formatted in Markdown. The output includes an executive summary, review time estimate in minutes, risk level, and grouped file lists capped at 10 items per category. Dedicated sections highlight breaking changes, dependencies, and testing verification.

A dynamic review checklist is also generated, checking for exposed sensitive data, comments on complex logic, and code duplication. Because the change analysis runs git directly via `subprocess`, running this outside an active git branch will fail.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Plugin marketplace**
In the agent chat (not a shell):
```text
/plugin marketplace add wshobson/agents
```
In the agent chat (not a shell):
```text
/plugin install comprehensive-review@claude-code-workflows
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.claude/commands/pr-enhance.md` — Call it with /pr-enhance. For all projects use ~/.claude/commands/

### Codex

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.codex/prompts/pr-enhance.md` — Call it with /prompts:pr-enhance. Codex marks this format deprecated in favour of skills

### GitHub Copilot

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/prompts/pr-enhance.prompt.md`

### Gemini CLI

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.gemini/commands/pr-enhance.toml` — Gemini stores commands as TOML: the prompt text goes into the prompt field

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/wshobson/agents/tree/HEAD/plugins/comprehensive-review/commands/pr-enhance.md

## When to use it
- Generate a detailed pull request description directly from `git diff`
- Categorize changed files into source, tests, documentation, and configs
- Estimate review duration and determine branch risk ratings
- Build a tailored review checklist for code quality and sensitive data checks

## Example prompts
- /pr-enhance Generate a detailed PR description for the auth refactor
- /pr-enhance Analyze my changes against the staging branch and create a checklist
- /pr-enhance Build a PR summary with risk rating and test notes

# Pull Request Enhancement

You are a PR optimization expert specializing in creating high-quality pull requests that facilitate efficient code reviews. Generate comprehensive PR descriptions, automate review processes, and ensure PRs follow best practices for clarity, size, and reviewability.

## Context

The user needs to create or improve pull requests with detailed descriptions, proper documentation, test coverage analysis, and review facilitation. Focus on making PRs that are easy to review, well-documented, and include all necessary context.

## Requirements
