## What it does

This command runs a push operation for a Google Apps Script project. It passes the project ID with `--script`; `--dir` selects the local source directory, while omitting it uses the current directory. Supported files include `.gs`, `.js`, `.html`, and `appsscript.json`. Hidden files and `node_modules` are skipped.

Google Workspace CLI must be installed and authenticated before the operation. Check the setup with `gws --version` and `gws auth status`; inspect available operations with `gws apps-script-push --help`. The workflow can inspect a method schema through `gws schema` before execution. This is a write command: it replaces every file in the target project, so Claude Code should ask for confirmation first.

## Requirements
- Works with: Google Workspace

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **claude-code-templates**
```bash
npx claude-code-templates@latest --command google-workspace/gws-apps-script-push
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.claude/commands/gws-apps-script-push.md` — Call it with /gws-apps-script-push. For all projects use ~/.claude/commands/

### Codex

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.codex/prompts/gws-apps-script-push.md` — Call it with /prompts:gws-apps-script-push. Codex marks this format deprecated in favour of skills

### GitHub Copilot

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/prompts/gws-apps-script-push.prompt.md`

### Gemini CLI

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.gemini/commands/gws-apps-script-push.toml` — Gemini stores commands as TOML: the prompt text goes into the prompt field

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/davila7/claude-code-templates/tree/HEAD/cli-tool/components/commands/google-workspace/gws-apps-script-push.md

## When to use it
- push local files to a Google Apps Script project
- choose a source directory with `--dir`
- skip hidden files and `node_modules`
- verify Google Workspace CLI authentication
- replace project files with a local directory

## Example prompts
- Run `/gws-apps-script-push` and upload the current directory to the Google Apps Script project with the given ID.
- Use `/gws-apps-script-push` to push files from `./src` into the project.
- Before running `/gws-apps-script-push`, check authentication and show the available operation parameters.
