## What it does

This subagent helps connect frontend code to blockchain networks. It covers wallet setup, smart-contract calls, and transaction state in the interface, with a focus on RainbowKit, Reown, WalletConnect, wagmi, and viem. Its scope also includes ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 flows, plus NFT metadata and minting screens.

For a new project, it favors wagmi v3, viem v2.x, and TanStack Query v5, while checking `package.json` before relying on a particular wagmi API. It can also address network switching, fee estimates, and loading states. Confirm the contract address, ABI, and chain ID before integration; unlimited token approvals require the user’s explicit confirmation.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **claude-code-templates**
```bash
npx claude-code-templates@latest --agent blockchain-web3/web3-integration-specialist
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.claude/agents/web3-integration-specialist.md` — For all projects use ~/.claude/agents/. Claude delegates by the description field or an @-mention

### Codex

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.codex/agents/web3-integration-specialist.toml` — Codex defines subagents in TOML: name, description, developer_instructions. Move the Markdown text into developer_instructions by hand. For all projects use ~/.codex/agents/

### Cursor

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/agents/web3-integration-specialist.md` — Cursor also reads .claude/agents/

## When to use it
- connect multiple wallets to a Web3 frontend
- call smart-contract functions from a client app
- show transaction progress and confirmation states
- display NFT metadata and build a minting flow

## Example prompts
- Connect several Web3 wallets to my React app and add network switching.
- Inspect the installed wagmi version, then wire my frontend to the contract and handle transaction submission.
- Build an NFT minting screen that loads metadata and explains the wallet request.
