## What it does

This is a Claude subagent that handles technical SEO work. It looks at site structure, page titles and descriptions, Schema markup, internal links and URLs, plus mobile layout. Core Web Vitals and page performance get their own pass.

It runs on five tools: `Read`, `Write`, `WebFetch`, `Grep` and `Glob`. Pages come in through `WebFetch`, while project files are searched with `Grep` and `Glob`. The output is an audit report with priority rankings, meta tag recommendations, Schema markup implementations and a performance roadmap.

One thing to plan for: the subagent leans on `WebFetch`, so a local site with no reachable address gives it little to work with. Spin up a staging URL or a tunnel first. It also only proposes changes — `Write` is there for reports, not for rewriting your templates.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **claude-code-templates**
```bash
npx claude-code-templates@latest --agent web-tools/seo-analyzer
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.claude/agents/seo-analyzer.md` — For all projects use ~/.claude/agents/. Claude delegates by the description field or an @-mention

### Codex

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.codex/agents/seo-analyzer.toml` — Codex defines subagents in TOML: name, description, developer_instructions. Move the Markdown text into developer_instructions by hand. For all projects use ~/.codex/agents/

### Cursor

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/agents/seo-analyzer.md` — Cursor also reads .claude/agents/

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/davila7/claude-code-templates/tree/HEAD/cli-tool/components/agents/web-tools/seo-analyzer.md
