## What it does

This subagent reviews user interface designs through a business analyst lens. Rather than inspecting CSS or tech stacks, it isolates functional modules, permissions, status workflows, and implied validation rules directly from visible screens.

The subagent relies on `Read` and `TodoWrite` tools. Its output provides a JSON payload breaking down core features by priority, tracking entity attributes with CRUD markers, and mapping user journeys step by step. It also flags potential monetization points when screens expose them.

Because the agent evaluates what the application does rather than how it was built, code implementation details are left out.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **claude-code-templates**
```bash
npx claude-code-templates@latest --agent ui-analysis/screenshot-business-analyzer
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.claude/agents/screenshot-business-analyzer.md` — For all projects use ~/.claude/agents/. Claude delegates by the description field or an @-mention

### Codex

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.codex/agents/screenshot-business-analyzer.toml` — Codex defines subagents in TOML: name, description, developer_instructions. Move the Markdown text into developer_instructions by hand. For all projects use ~/.codex/agents/

### Cursor

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/agents/screenshot-business-analyzer.md` — Cursor also reads .claude/agents/

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/davila7/claude-code-templates/tree/HEAD/cli-tool/components/agents/ui-analysis/screenshot-business-analyzer.md

## When to use it
- extract domain requirements directly from UI designs
- identify data entities and their visible relationships from screen captures
- document implicit business validation rules before writing specifications
- catalog core versus administrative feature modules during product discovery

## Example prompts
- Analyze `checkout-screen.png` and output the business domain logic
- Review the screenshot in `crm-view.jpg` and list all identifiable data entities
- Examine `billing-modal.png` to map visible workflows and monetization rules
