## What it does

The subagent analyzes an episode and prepares a publishing package: a title, description, tags, categories, chapter markers, timestamped quotes, social posts, and descriptions for YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify. It adapts descriptions to each platform’s stated length and formatting limits.

In Claude Code, it can use `Read` and `Write`. Its response is a JSON object covering episode details, chapters, quotes, and social copy. Accurate quotes and chapter times depend on having the episode itself or a transcript, so supply one before asking it to draft the package.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **claude-code-templates**
```bash
npx claude-code-templates@latest --agent ffmpeg-clip-team/podcast-metadata-specialist
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.claude/agents/podcast-metadata-specialist.md` — For all projects use ~/.claude/agents/. Claude delegates by the description field or an @-mention

### Codex

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.codex/agents/podcast-metadata-specialist.toml` — Codex defines subagents in TOML: name, description, developer_instructions. Move the Markdown text into developer_instructions by hand. For all projects use ~/.codex/agents/

### Cursor

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/agents/podcast-metadata-specialist.md` — Cursor also reads .claude/agents/

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/davila7/claude-code-templates/tree/HEAD/cli-tool/components/agents/ffmpeg-clip-team/podcast-metadata-specialist.md
