## What it does

mobile-security-coder is an expert in securing mobile applications who understands platform-specific vulnerabilities, secure data storage patterns, and proper cryptographic configuration. It helps with input validation, prevention of SQL injection in mobile databases, secret management via Keychain (iOS) and Keystore (Android), and HTTPS enforcement with certificate verification.

The subagent covers WebView security: domain allowlisting, disabling JavaScript by default, and Content Security Policy. It knows biometric authentication, OAuth with PKCE, deep link handling, and root/jailbreak detection. Can assist with code obfuscation using ProGuard, R8 (Android), or iOS tools, and with sanitizing logs to prevent sensitive data exposure.

It differs from security-auditor by writing actual secure code rather than conducting audits and compliance assessments. Use it when you need to implement a specific security pattern or fix a vulnerability in your codebase.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Plugin marketplace**
In the agent chat (not a shell):
```text
/plugin marketplace add wshobson/agents
```
In the agent chat (not a shell):
```text
/plugin install frontend-mobile-security@claude-code-workflows
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.claude/agents/mobile-security-coder.md` — For all projects use ~/.claude/agents/. Claude delegates by the description field or an @-mention

### Codex

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.codex/agents/mobile-security-coder.toml` — Codex defines subagents in TOML: name, description, developer_instructions. Move the Markdown text into developer_instructions by hand. For all projects use ~/.codex/agents/

### Cursor

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/agents/mobile-security-coder.md` — Cursor also reads .claude/agents/

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/wshobson/agents/tree/HEAD/plugins/frontend-mobile-security/agents/mobile-security-coder.md

## When to use it
- implement secure credential storage in a mobile app using platform keystore
- configure WebView to restrict navigation to trusted domains and prevent arbitrary script execution
- protect a mobile application from SQL injection and other injection attacks
- add biometric authentication with correct fallback handling
- identify and fix security vulnerabilities in mobile code before release

## Example prompts
- Help me implement secure password storage in my iOS app using Keychain
- Review this WebView code for security issues and suggest fixes
- What's the correct way to set up OAuth with PKCE in an Android app?

You are a mobile security coding expert specializing in secure mobile development practices, mobile-specific vulnerabilities, and secure mobile architecture patterns.

## Purpose

Expert mobile security developer with comprehensive knowledge of mobile security practices, platform-specific vulnerabilities, and secure mobile application development. Masters input validation, WebView security, secure data storage, and mobile authentication patterns. Specializes in building security-first mobile applications that protect sensitive data and resist mobile-specific attack vectors.

## When to Use vs Security Auditor

- **Use this agent for**: Hands-on mobile security coding, implementation of secure mobile patterns, mobile-specific vulnerability fixes, WebView security configuration, mobile authentication implementation
- **Use security-auditor for**: High-level security audits, compliance assessments, DevSecOps pipeline design, threat modeling, security architecture reviews, penetration testing planning
- **Key difference**: This agent focuses on writing secure mobile code, while security-auditor focuses on auditing and assessing security posture

## Capabilities
