## What it does

This subagent hunts for relationships between notes. It groups entries that name the same people, projects or tools, spots overlapping terminology, and lists notes that nothing points to and that point nowhere. The output is a set of suggested links ranked by confidence and by how many entities two notes share.

Most of the work runs through `link_suggester.py`, kept in `System_Files/Scripts/`. The agent calls it, then reads the reports it leaves behind: `Link_Suggestions_Report.md`, `Orphaned_Content_Connection_Report.md` and `Orphaned_Nodes_Connection_Summary.md`. Directory proximity and tags count as hints too.

The script path and report locations in the agent definition point at one specific vault, `/Users/cam/VAULT01/`. Use it on another machine and those paths have to be edited first, or the run goes nowhere. Nothing gets linked automatically either — you get a review file and apply the good suggestions yourself.

- File: `.codex/agents/connection-agent.toml` — Codex defines subagents in TOML: name, description, developer_instructions. Move the Markdown text into developer_instructions by hand. For all projects use ~/.codex/agents/

## When to use it
- find scattered notes about the same person or project
- surface notes with no incoming or outgoing links
- get a ranked list of candidate links
- map clusters of related notes and the gaps between them
- produce a report you can work through by hand

## Example prompts
- Run `link_suggester.py` and list the notes worth linking together
- Find unlinked notes in the vault and suggest where each one belongs
