## What it does

This subagent acts as a competitive intelligence analyst. It breaks a market into parts: who the players are, their shares and positioning, what is shifting in the industry. For each company it builds a profile covering finances, product lines, geographic reach, partnerships and recent moves.

The methods are spelled out: competitive landscape mapping, SWOT, Porter's Five Forces, audience segmentation, trend analysis. Sources include public company filings, press releases, trade publications, social media, patents and job postings. The last two give indirect signals — where a company is investing and what skills it is hiring for.

The subagent has `Read`, `Write`, `Edit`, `WebSearch` and `WebFetch`. So it reads and edits files in your project and goes to the web for fresh data. Reports land in files, not just in chat. If you work with private internal data, keep in mind it has web access and queries leave your machine.
